20.05.09 Comments Off Baby-olifantje Kai-Mook
Onder de knop REPORTAGE vind U de foto’s van baby-olifantje K genomen op de persconferentie van 19.5.09 in de Zoo van Antwerpen waar ook haar naam bekend werd gemaakt: Kai-Mook dat in het Thais “Parel” betekent.
Dit zijn haar eerste stappen in het zonlicht, dat maken de foto’s wel uniek. Televisie, fotografen, journalisten en prominenten (Kris Peeters, Patricia Ceysens, Partrick Janssens, Luc Caals, …) waren in grote tal aanwezig daar Kai-Mook al zeer veel fans heeft. Enerzijds door een perfecte public relation van de Antwerpse Zoo die live beelden op internet uitzond van de geboorte, anderzijds door het grote aibaarheidsfactor van deze zo schattige pup.
Het blijven echter wilde dieren, intelligent maar waarvan de reacties soms onvoorspelbaar zijn en gevaarlijk. We maakten het mee toen Dumbo, de leidster, plots een schop tegen K gaf die een paar meters verder vloog. Reactie was zeer hevig van mama, zus en tante die baby verdedigden en brullend agressief Dumbo wegjoegen.
Voor dezelfde prijs was Kai-Mook vertrappelt en eindigde daar in een drama voor tal van getuigen het zo mooi verhaal!!!
Daarom vind ik het antropomorficeren dat je leest in tal van reacties op www.baby-olifantje.be wel wat overdreven. Maar het is zeer lief bedoeld en dan veel liever dat dan Canadese moordenaars die baby zeehonden om het leven brengen voor de pels. BTW, Europa heeft de invoer van deze vellen totaal verboden wat een groot verlies is voor deze rovers! Een reden om fier Europeaan te zijn!
